RECENT STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS

RICHARD JIANG

Winner of the "Piano Solo - Chopin 15" Category of the 2016 Calgary Performing Arts Festival (formerly Kiwanis Festival)
on April 28th, 2016.

Younger brother of Warren Jiang, whom I was also teaching since a while, successfully following the footsteps of his brother, made tremendous progress over last couple of months. He lately focused entirely on this single composition to take it to an area where he could present it on stage, did register himself as the competitor at the Calgary Performing Arts Festival, and the result did exceed my expectations. Bravo Richard! Keep going!

Richard has also been invited to perform for the "European Masters Concert" on May 3rd, 2016 at the TransAlta Pavilion at Mount Royal University - The Conservatory in Calgary. Great experience for Richard and source of precious knowledge for me.

Warren Jiang

Winner of the Canadian Music Competition 2015 Edition - Gold in 18 years old Category as well as Scholarship.

Warren has been my student since 2011. I do enjoy working with him a lot. He is currently Advanced Performance Program's student in my class at Mount Royal University - The Conservatory in Calgary.

Here you can listen to his Vancouver performance during CMC Finals, recorded on June 23rd, 2016. It was my pleasure to join him on stage and playing the orchestra part in Rachmaninoff's No. 1 Piano Concerto in F sharp minor Op. 1 - 1st and 2nd movements.
